Stripped Beauty Breaks Down the Benefits of Argan and Jojoba Oil in Skincare

Organic Oils are one of the most effective ingredients for preventing wrinkles, softening skin, and strengthening the skin barrier. Argan and Jojoba Oil are two classic proven oils with numerous skin benefits. Let's break down the similarities and benefits between Argan and Jojoba Oil and why we're obsessed with both.

What is Argan Oil?

Argan Oil is an ingredient native to Morocco, derived from the kernels that grow on Argan trees. Argan Oil is rich in antioxidants, making it a great moisturizing ingredient to incorporate into your skincare routine.

What is Jojoba Oil?

Jojoba Oil is a natural oil produced from the seed of the Chinensis plant native to Arizona, California, and Mexico. Similar to Argan Oil, Jojoba Oil is an immensely effective moisturizer. Jojoba Oil is made up mainly of a type of wax called ester wax, and unlike other oils, it mimics the natural oils our skin produces, making it great for acne-prone skin.

Treating Damaged Skin

Due to their antioxidant-rich properties, Argan and Jojoba Oil are one of the most effective ingredients when treating free radical damage caused by UV rays. By incorporating antioxidant-rich ingredients, you can help prevent melanoma, skin cancer, inflammation, and hyperpigmentation (from the sun). Both oils are rich in Vitamin E, a powerful antioxidant that works to reverse the damage done by excess UV exposure.

Superstar Moisturizers

Both Argan and Jojoba Oil are great ingredients to moisturize your skin and lock in moisture. Using a Face Oil incorporating Argan and Jojoba Oil is the perfect way to end your skincare routine and support a healthy, supple skin barrier.

Treating Skin Conditions

These multi-use oils can also help soothe skin conditions such as Rosacea, Psoriasis, and Acne. This is due to their anti-inflammatory properties and ability to regulate excess sebum on the skin.

With all these fantastic benefits, we knew these two oils were the perfect addition to our Glow-to Oil. Oils may seem scary to put on your face, especially for oily skin, but oils are some of the best tools for balancing and moisturizing our skin.
