Your New Stripped Back Skincare Routine

At Stripped Beauty, we’re all about stripped-back, simple skincare routines. Social media is constantly pushing new, flashy skincare products and it seems almost impossible to not get wrapped up in the latest trends. The truth is, you don’t need a ten-step skincare routine to achieve healthy, glowing skin. A simple, consistent skincare routine will often help you more than constantly introducing new products.

Cleanser

Cleansing is the first and necessary step in your daily skincare routine. Before choosing the right cleanser for your skin, it’s important to hone in on what your skin type is. If your skin is on the oily side, look for an oil-free cleanser. If your skin is dry, try a creamy or oil-based cleanser. Your cleanser should be gentle, non-drying, and effective. When creating our Daily Detox Cleansing Gel, it was important to us that this cleanser not only worked for all skin types but worked well with medical-grade skincare. Daily Detox cleanses and calms your skin with antioxidant-rich Green Tea, Glycerin, and Ginger Root Extract.

Moisturizer

Keeping your skin hydrated and moisturized is vital to having healthy skin. Similar to your cleanser, it’s important to choose a moisturizer based on your skin type. If your skin is oily, look for a lightweight, oil-free moisturizer. If your skin is dry, a thicker face cream formulated with humectants might work best for you. When formulating our Neptune Face Cream, we wanted to create a lightweight but extremely hydrating formula that works for all skin types. Made with Organic Shea Butter, Squalane, and Jojoba Oil, this face cream deeply moisturizes your skin without feeling heavy.

SPF

Sun protection is crucial to healthy skin. Sun damage can increase the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, uneven skin texture, and irritation. SPF doesn’t have to be expensive, it just has to work. We recommend sunscreen with 50 SPF or higher.

Treatment

This last step is completely optional and up to your own individual skin needs. Treatment products like serums, toners, or essences should only be introduced into your skincare routine as needed. If your skin is feeling dry, adding a Hyaluronic Acid serum into your routine can help to bring the moisture back into your skin. Our Fountain of Youth Serum deeply hydrates your skin with 1% Hyaluronic Acid, Glycerin, and ProVitamin B5. If your skin is feeling dull or textured, adding an exfoliating toner into your routine can help to brighten out your skin and even out your skin’s texture. Our Flower Hour Exfoliating Toner uses 5% Lactic Acid (AHA), 2% White Willow Bark Extract, and ProVitamin B5 to exfoliate, even, and prevent breakouts on the skin.

Skincare should be consistent, effective, and specific to your skin's needs. Using a cleanser, moisturizer, SPF, and treatment products as needed is all that your skin needs to stay healthy.
